Hit-and-run collision in Arlington leaves pedestrian hospitalized

Police are asking for community members near where the crash happened to check their home surveillance for video of a red sedan traveling in the area.

ARLINGTON, Va. — A man has been hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash in Arlington Thursday night.

The Arlington County Police Department determined that the collision, which involved a pedestrian, happened on 22nd Street North, off of Lorcom Lane and near Maywood Park. Officers were at the location investigating just before 8:25 p.m.

The pedestrian, a man, was taken to a local hospital suffering from serious injuries. No information has been released about his identity, this includes his name, age, and where he is from.

Police say the driver involved in the crash was driving a red sedan and took off before they arrived. Authorities are now searching for the driver in the ongoing investigation.
