Woman facing assault charge after striking store employee with wine bottle in Northeast DC

The employee that was hit refused medical treatment for their injuries.

WASHINGTON — A woman has been arrested for hitting a store employee with a wine bottle and injuring them Tuesday afternoon in Northeast D.C.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, around 2:20 p.m., the employee was struck by the wine bottle during an argument between the two inside the store located on First Street Northeast, nearby M Street Northeast. The woman, identified as 22-year-old Beyonce Page, of Northwest D.C., was arrested at the location.

The employee that was struck with the bottle suffered from minor injuries and refused medical treatment. 

DC Police say Page was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (wine bottle).
