WASHINGTON — Everyone talks about the weather here in the DMV, but at WUSA9 we want to do more than just talk - we are inviting you to help shape the conversation by joining the WUSA9 Weather Watchers team!

Our WUSA9 Weather Watchers team is a community of weather enthusiasts, connecting real people to real weather in DC, Maryland and Virginia. Together, we will track the weather and share observations from sunny days to big winter storms and severe weather.

In this community, we can engage in thoughtful weather conversation about past and future weather events, and as team members, you will be insiders to exciting upcoming WUSA9 Weather events and news features.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AS A WEATHER WATCHER?

What are we looking for from you? You are our eyes and ears out in the vast area of the DMV that we cover.

As team members, we invite you to:

  • Share weather photos and video. We're looking for your best sunrise/sunset, snow/rain totals, severe weather phenomenon or damage - and those are just some of the things we'll be looking for. Also, your photos may be shown with your name during newscasts.
  • Take part in our 'Top Photos of the Week' contests online.
  • Join our Facebook Group – WUSA9 Weather Watchers. We'll post heads-up about active weather, cool blogs or weather history, and events coming up
  • Receive exclusive WUSA9 Weather Watchers gear. We're talking snow sticks and rain gauges to help you measure rain/snow plus fun gear like hats and car decals to show your WUSA9 Weather Watchers pride!
