Man charged with killing 17-year-old in February shooting

​The circumstances leading up to the shooting have not been released.

WASHINGTON — A 42-year-old man is facing charges in connection to the deadly shooting of 17-year-old Jabari Malloy, of Northwest, D.C.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 700 block of Morton Street, Northwest shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25. 

Investigators say Malloy was wounded after a shooting in the rear alley of the 700 block of Lamont Street, Northwest. He died at the scene. 

Weeks later, police announced the arrest of 42-year-old Rico Antjuan Parker, of Southeast, DC. He has been charged with first-degree murder while armed (premeditated).

The circumstances leading up to the shooting have not been released.
