CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. — A man is facing charges after police say he shot a Capitol Heights man to death earlier this month.
According to the Prince George's County Police Department, officers were called to the 300 block of Cedarleaf Avenue shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5.
When officers arrived, they found Dillard suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital where he died several hours later.
Investigators have since arrested 23-year-old Zarkee Bembo-Wilson of Capitol Heights. They believe the two men knew each other and were involved in an ongoing dispute when Dillard was killed.
Bembo-Wilson has been charged with first and second-degree murder and related charges. He remains at the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
