Firefighters battle blaze at 7-Eleven store

D.C. firefighters were called to fight a fire early Wednesday at a 7-Eleven store in Northwest.

WASHINGTON — A 7-Eleven store in Northwest, D.C. caught on fire early Wednesday morning.

D.C. firefighters were called just before 5 a.m. after a fire broke out at a 7-Eleven store in Northwest at the corner of 7th and Rhode Island Avenue.

Fire officials said there were no injuries and the fire was quickly contained.

Crews were at the scene are checking for any extensions.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
