Two people were killed and one person is injured after a three-vehicle crash involving an overturned tractor-trailer.

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — Commuters dealt with major backups along I-95 northbound in the Stafford area Wednesday morning, after a deadly multi-car crash, with portions of the highway still closed.

The highway was shut down for several hours, forcing detours and causing about a 5-mile backup beginning north of exit 130 (Route 3) in Fredericksburg. As of 11 a.m. all lanes had reopened.

Towing crews are expected in the area around 6 p.m. to remove the tractor-trailer from the right shoulder.
