Prince George's County officer injured in rollover Lanham crash

The severity of the injuries are unknown at this time.

LANHAM, Md. — A Prince George's County Police officer is in the hospital after an early Tuesday morning crash in Lanham.

The police department confirmed to WUSA9 that the crash happened around 4:30 a.m. at Annapolis Road eastbound, nearby Interstate 495. When officials arrived at the scene the officer was found suffering from injuries.

The officer has been taken to the hospital to be treated. Their injuries are considered to be minor.

Their was a second vehicle involved in the collision. A person inside of that car also suffered minor injuries.

No details have been released about the might have led up to the collision. The crash remains under investigation.
