Teen shot in Southeast DC

Upon arrival, officers found a teenage boy suffering from gunshot wounds. He was conscious when first responders took him to an area hospital for help.

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a shooting that left a teenager wounded Friday afternoon.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened shortly after 3:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of Alabama Avenue, Southeast. 

Upon arrival, officers found a teenage boy suffering from gunshot wounds. He was conscious when first responders took him to an area hospital for help. 

Investigators are on the lookout for a man wearing all-black clothing, a gray camo ski mask, and red shoes. The suspect was last seen headed westbound toward 15th and Savannah Street, Southeast.
