CHEVY CHASE, Md. — Police are asking for the public's help identifying someone they said has stolen thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from an Amazon Fresh market in Chevy Chase.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Police, the suspect has stolen items 36 times from the Amazon Fresh on Wisconsin Avenue between October 2023 and April 18, 2024.
Between the nearly 40 thefts, detectives said the thief has taken around $7,000 worth of merchandise.
Police released photos of the suspect captured by surveillance photos. He is described as a 5-foot-11 tall man who weighs around 180 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-8477 or submit a tip online at www.crimesolversmcmd.org. Tips with information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward from $250 up to $10,000. Tips may remain anonymous.
