Police search for 2 people after Northwest DC shooting

One person was hospitalized in the shooting, police said.

WASHINGTON — DC Police are investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital sometime late Sunday night. Metropolitan Police Department officers are still looking for the people responsible, and so far, no arrests have been made.

Police were called to the area of the 1600 block of L Street Northwest for a report of a shooting sometime late Sunday night. A watch commander for the police department could not say when exactly the call came in. Once on scene, officers found a man had been shot. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

On social media early Monday morning, MPD said they were looking for two men in connection to the shooting. The investigation is active and ongoing. Anyone who may have information to help investigators should contact police at 202-727-9099, or text the department's tip line at 50411.
