Man wanted for robbing homes along Good Luck Road in Lanham, Maryland

Detectives say the suspect appears to be entering the units through unlocked doors or windows.

LANHAM, Md. — Police are searching for a man they say is targeting homes along Good Luck Road in Lanham.

According to the Prince George's County Police Department, the unidentified man has been connected to at least two successful armed robberies and a third attempted robbery. He is also believed to be responsible for another break-in.

All four reported crimes happened at apartment complexes along Good Luck Road, most in the early morning hours.

Officers say the suspect is responsible for the following crimes:

  • Residential armed robbery (weapon implied): 9900 block of Good Luck Road - 04/08/2024 at 5 a.m.
  • Residential armed robbery: 9800 Good Luck Road - 04/07/2024 at 5:50 a.m.

  • Breaking & entering: 9800 Good Luck Road - 04/04/2024 at 9 a.m.

Police released home surveillance video that recorded the April 6 attempted robbery. Investigators say the residents were home asleep when the suspect entered the apartment. He ultimately ran away without stealing anything.

Detectives say the suspect appears to be entering the units through unlocked doors or windows.

Additional patrol units have been placed along Good Luck Road while the suspect hasn't been caught. Community Engagement Unit officers are also canvassing the apartment complexes speaking to staff and residents on the importance of locking doors and windows.

A cash reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment. Anyone with information can speak to a robbery section detective at 301-516-2830. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
