Teen arrested in connection to string of thefts and robberies

WASHINGTON — A teenager is facing charges in connection to a string of thefts and robberies across the District.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, a 14-year-old from North Brentwood, Maryland was arrested Wednesday. Officers say the teen has been charged in connection to the following crimes:

  • Theft in the 1400 block of R Street, Northwest on March 1
  • Armed robbery in the 2100 block of 12th Street, Northwest shortly before 4 a.m. on March 3
  • Robbery in the 600 block of T Street, Northwest less than 40 minutes later on March 3
  • Unlawful entry of an apartment building in the 2200 block of 17th Street, Northwest on March 3
  • Robbery by force or violence in the 1700 block of 16th Street, Southeast just before 1:30 a.m. on March 4
  • Robbery in the 1300 block of 5th Street, Northwest just before 2 a.m. on April 6
