16 and 18-year-old arrested for armed robberies in SE DC, police say

Police say the pair were also involved in multiple robberies in Maryland.

WASHINGTON — A man and teenager have been arrested in connection to two armed robberies in Southeast, D.C. Police say the pair were also involved in multiple robberies in Maryland.

Investigators arrested the 16-year-old, who is being charged as an adult, and 18-year-old Saivon Davis on Wednesday for their alleged involvement in the following robberies:

  • At 11:15 a.m. on 49th Street, SE.
  • At 4:30 p.m. in the intersection of B Street and 53rd Street, SE.

A short time after the robbery on B Street, Prince George’s County officers located and arrested two of the four suspects after they jumped out of a stolen car. Evidence from the above robberies was located inside of the stolen car. A gun was also recovered.

These cases remain under investigation. Anyone who knows about these robberies should call the police immediately at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s text tip line at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
