WASHINGTON — Temperatures will climb quickly Thursday before reaching the mid-90s throughout the afternoon. With high humidity, temperatures will feel like 99-106 degrees.
A Heat Advisory has been issued Thursday for parts of the DMV where the heat index will approach 106 degrees.
Additionally, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has activated the District's Heat Emergency plan for Thursday, beginning at 11 a.m.

Loudoun County
Cooling centers are offered at library branches, recreation centers and an animal services facility, according to a press release published on Saturday.

- Cascades, Gum Spring and Rust branches are open from noon to 5 p.m.
- Lovettsville and Middleburg branches are closed. The Law Library is closed as well, according to the release.
