DC Primary Voter Guide for 2024

Primary day is June 4 and early voting will be held May 26-June 2.

WASHINGTON — District voters will make their voices heard when they cast ballots for their party nominees for council seats, Delegate to the U.S. Congress, and Shadow U.S. Senate and Representative offices.

Primary Day is June 4. Poll hours will be 7am-8pm.

Early in-person voting will take place May 26-June 2. Hours for the early voting centers are 8:30am-7pm. The centers will be closed on Memorial Day. Click here to find your early voting center: https://earlyvoting.dcboe.org/

If you are voting by mail, all ballots must be postmarked by June 4. You can also drop off your ballot in any drop box up until 8pm on June 4.

The District also has same-day voter registration. You will need to bring proof of residence to a voting center. If you do not have proof of residence, you can vote a Special Ballot; but you will have to provide proof of residence to the Board of Elections by June 6 at 5pm for your vote to be counted.
