Former Metropolitan Police Officer Nathan Clinkscale, 25, has been indicted on third degree sex offense and related charges.

According to the release, on April 30, officers were called to an Upper Marlboro home for reports of a domestic incident.

When they arrived, the victim's mother told police officers she heard an alarm and saw the basement window open.

The victim told police she met Clinkscale on a dating app the day before, invited him over and led him in through the basement window.

Police said at that time Clinkscale and the victim had sex. He told police he believed the victim was 18 years old.

Metropolitan Police Department terminated his employment following the incident.

“It is deeply troubling that a sworn officer who took an oath to protect and serve his community would think it is okay to have sexual contact of any kind with a minor,” said Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Alsobrooks. “We will conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that he is held accountable for his actions.”
