Lakewood Police are investigating after a 23-year-old man died at a commercial indoor firearm shooting and training range Monday.
Just before 4 p.m., authorities responded to the shooting range in the 12100 block of West Cedar Avenue in Lakewood after receiving calls of a man who had shot himself.
When officers arrived, they found Eric Earl Blake in the shooting range. He had what detectives believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Blake was pronounced dead at the scene.
Blake was from Texas, but had been living in the Denver area.
Several witnesses were interviewed by police. Even though there is still an ongoing investigation, detectives do not feel anything criminal in nature occurred.
