Motorcyclist killed after colliding with school bus carrying 14 kids

The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Stevan Zikic of Alexandria, Virginia.

ARLINGTON COUNTY, Va. — Police say one person is dead after a motorcycle and a school bus filled with students crashed Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Stevan Zikic of Alexandria, Virginia.

According to Arlington County Police, the collision happened just after 2:45 p.m. in the 3500 block of 23rd Street. Officers say the person driving the motorcycle, an unidentified man, died. 

The school bus was carrying 14 students at the time of the collision, police said. No other injuries were reported. The moments leading up to the deadly crash have not been released.

Multiple roads were closed while police investigated the crash. Traffic has been restricted near the 2500 block of 23rd Street South. Drivers are asked to avoid the area while officers conduct their investigation.
