Robbery suspect caught on surveillance video in Southeast DC, police say

The suspect is wanted in connection to a robbery that occurred Friday night in the 1900 block of 16th Street, Southeast.

WASHINGTON — Detectives with the Metropolitan Police Department are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a suspect involved in a robbery in Southeast D.C. on Friday. 

Around 9:20 p.m., police claim suspects approached a victim in the 1900 block of 16th Street, Southeast. The suspects then assaulted the victim, took the victim's property, and fled the scene.

Anyone who can identify this individual or has any information about this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.  Crime Solvers of Washington, DC currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.

Police have not revealed what property was stolen during this incident or how many other suspects were involved.
