16-year-old girl and her 6-month-old son found after missing from Northwest, police say

Shanyah Ford and her son were last seen in the 1400 block of Girard Street, Northwest on Friday.

WASHINGTON — D.C. Police have found the missing 16-year-old girl and her six-month-old son. They were last seen in Northwest.

Police said Shanyah Ford, 16, and her son Symir Ford, six months, were last seen in the 1400 block of Girard Street, Northwest on Friday. 

Shanyah is described as a black female with a medium complexion. She's 5-foot-1, weighs 120 lbs and has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black, shiny, puffy jacket with a black shirt and blue jeans.

Symir is described as a black male with a medium complexion. He's 15 lbs with dark brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red, white and black jacket with blue jeans and an orange shirt.

Police are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Shanyah and her son to call police at (202) 707-9099.
