Food truck fire sends someone to the hospital with serious injuries

Video captured of the fire shows the truck fully engulfed in flames.

WASHINGTON — A food truck fire in Northwest, D.C. sent one person to an area hospital with serious burns on Sunday. 

At 1:06 p.m., DC Fire and EMS responded to the reported fire near the intersection of 10th Street and Constitution Avenue, NW. First responders took one person with serious burns to an area hospital after the fire. That person is expected to be ok. 

Video captured of the fire in the 1200 block of Constitution Avenue, right off the National Mall, shows the truck fully engulfed in flames. 

WUSA9 first learned of the fire after receiving reports of smoke seen near the Washington Monument.

One Reddit user, ShiftlessWhenIdle, caught the food truck fire on camera. That video can be seen below:
