(WUSA9) -- Fall prevention is an important topic for many people in their later years. So, Inova Loudoun Hospital is opening a new, state-of-the-art Slip Simulator to help improve balance and decrease falls for those who are having trouble avoiding falls. It is unique to the DC region.

This is part of the new Inova Loudoun Hospital Pediatric and Adult Rehabilitation Center in Leesburg. The center includes equipment and programs available for both adult and pediatric outpatient rehabilitation patients. The center is designed to provide rehab for patients with neurological conditions, sports injuries, balance issues, cancer treatment, and more.
Inova is hosting an open house Friday July 18th from 2-4pm at Inova Loudoun Hospital, 44035 Riverside Parkway, Suite 500 in Leesburg. The event is open to the public.
