Woman shot, killed in Fairfax County

Police are still trying to figure out where the woman was shot, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Fairfax County Police are investigating after a woman was shot and killed early Thursday morning. According to investigators, the woman was brought to Inova Mount Vernon Hospital in Alexandria around 3 a.m. The woman died from her injuries.

The man who brought the woman to the hospital for treatment stayed there. Police are still working to figure out where the woman was shot, and what led up to the shooting. So far, no arrests have been made and additional details about who might be responsible have not been made public. 

The woman who died has not yet been identified by police. We will work to confirm more details, and will update this story when we have more information.
