Suspect says 'one more thing' before hitting victim in the head with meat tenderizer, DC Police say

Police say the two women knew each other before the attack but did not say how or what may have been the motive behind it.

WASHINGTON — A D.C. woman is facing charges after police say she forced her way into a home and destroyed multiple items before hitting another woman with a meat tenderizer.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the attack happened at an apartment in the 3500 block of Stanton Road, Southeast early Monday morning. Upon arrival, officers found the victim with a cut on the right side of her head.

The police report states that a witness was inside the home when she heard a loud banging noise. When she looked out a window, the witness said she saw blonde hair and recognized the suspect, who has since been identified as 31-year-old Brittany Johnson.

The witness reportedly opened the door, which is when police say Johnson pushed her way inside and began to destroy a table and mirror.

Before leaving, Johnson reportedly said something along the lines of "one more thing," and then began to hit the victim around the head with a meat tenderizer. The victim was taken to an area hospital for help when first responders arrived.

Johnson left before police arrived but was arrested the same day. She has been charged with burglary one.

Police say the two women knew each other before the attack but did not say how or what may have been the motive before the meat tenderizer attack.
