22-year-old man arrested in Lanham robbery

Additional charges are expected, as police believe the same man is responsible for at least three other crimes in the same area.

LANHAM, Md. — A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a series of apartment robberies along Good Luck Road in Lanham.

According to police, two armed robberies, an attempted armed robbery and a beaking and entering all occured along Good Luck Road, in the early morning hours between April 4 and April 8.

Augustine Koroma, of Lanham, was arrested Monday night on an unrelated warrant for second degree assault. In the investigation process, detectives got a search warrant for Koroma's home and found evidence connected to the April 8 robbery.

He is currently charged in just that crime, but additional charges are expected to be brought, as detectives believe Koroma is also the person responsible for two other robberies and a breaking and entering.

Officers say Koroma is responsible for the following crimes:

  • Residential armed robbery (weapon implied): 9900 block of Good Luck Road - 04/08/2024 at 5 a.m.
  • Residential armed robbery: 9800 Good Luck Road - 04/07/2024 at 5:50 a.m.
  • Residential armed robbery (attempt): 9800 Good Luck Road - 04/06/2024 at 6:55 a.m.
  • Breaking & entering: 9800 Good Luck Road - 04/04/2024 at 9 a.m.

It is believed that Koroma entered the units through unlocked doors or windows. No residents were injured during any of the break-ins or robberies.
