Over $60k of jewelry stolen from Bethesda store in armed robbery, police say

Three suspects are wanted for the Dec. 13 robbery where over 100 pieces of jewelry were taken.

BETHESDA, Md. — A Bethesda jewelry store was robbed by three armed men on Friday, Montgomery County Police said. Now, authorities need your help in identifying the three suspects.

Around 5:46 p.m. on Dec.13, authorities said three male suspects entered the Jewelry Exchange off Old Georgetown Road. Upon entering, one suspect showed a handgun to the clerk and demanded the jewelry from the store. While the other two men grabbed the items, the third suspect acted as a lookout to prevent people from entering the store. 

Montgomery County Police said the stolen goods totaled more than $60,000 and that up to 100 items were taken from the store. Jewelry Exchange specializes in diamond rings. 

Police urge anyone who may have information about the suspects or the robbery to contact the department's Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100. Tips are anonymous, and any information provided to them that leads to an arrest or indictment is eligible for a  cash reward of up to $10,000.
