Police investigation after deadly U Street shooting

DC Police are searching for two people in connection to the deadly shooting.

WASHINGTON — An overnight shooting in Northwest D.C. left a man dead and police searching for the culprits responsible for the crime.

Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 1300 block of U Street Northwest, off of 14th Street, after a report of the shooting. When they arrived at the scene, a man was found unconscious and not breathing.

The police department confirmed to WUSA9 that 43-year-old Kenneth Goins, of Salisbury MD has died. 

Goins was found inside, though the name of the location has been released, and police are not sure at this time the exact location of where the shooting happened. Authorities are looking for two people in connection to the shooting. They have been described as being males, with one of them wearing a white or gray sweatshirt at the time and on a motorcycle. Police announced the lookout on their social media page at 2:08 a.m. on Saturday.
