Police arrested 19-year-old Deon Buckner on Wednesday for his alleged involvement in the robbery.

WASHINGTON — Police have arrested a 19-year-old man for his alleged involvement in an armed robbery where a Canada Goose jacket was stolen right off the owner's back. This is just the latest instance of someone being robbed of their expensive winter jacket.

On Tuesday, Jan. 4, at 11:26 a.m., police say the victim was parked in the 4700 block of Foote Street, Northeast when he was approached by two suspects. One of the suspects pointed a gun at the man and demanded his Canada Goose coat. The victim complied, and the suspects fled the scene with the coat in hand as well as several of his other belongings including a wallet and grey yoga pants.

On Wednesday, police arrested and charged 19-year-old Deon Buckner, of Southeast, D.C., for his alleged involvement in the robbery. A gun was recovered at the time of his arrest.
