Fairfax County Police use K9, helicopter to arrest teens

A third teenager was also apprehended by officers nearby.

WASHINGTON — Three teenagers are in custody for evading police in a stolen car in Fairfax County.

On March 19, just after 9 p.m., officers from the Reston Patrol Unit allegedly located a stolen car near the intersection of Centreville Road and Parcher Avenue. When they attempted to conduct a traffic stop, two teens hopped out of the car and began running away.

The county helicopter, Fairfax 1, and K9 units were able to track the teens down, allowing officers in the area to take them into custody. A third teenager was also apprehended by officers nearby.

At this time it is unclear if the teens carjacked the vehicle or if they were just driving a stolen car. The charges against the teens have not been released.
