Acapella group at high school in Montgomery County wins national competition | Get Uplifted

Acatonics is the name of Thomas S. Wootton High School's all gender premiere acapella group.

ROCKVILLE, Md. — Some students at a Montgomery County high school have been recognized nationally for their talent, and for that we are getting uplifted.

The talent resulted in a winning performance by an acapella group from Rockville, Maryland. Acatonics is the name of Thomas S. Wootton High School's all gender premiere acapella group.

They bring home the top prize from the SingStrong competition in New York City that happened over the weekend. But that is not all, they also won best soloist and best vocal percussionist, which went to two senior students within the group.

The Wootton Acatonics group is the only nationally competing acapella group in Montgomery County and their winning efforts as well as accomplishments are a reason to celebrate.
