WASHINGTON — A D.C. icon just received her latest unique honor. Virginia Ali, co-founder of the immortal Ben's Chili Bowl now has her very own bobblehead figurine.
Jordan Pool of the Washington Wizards surprised her with her bobblehead last month, during her 90th birthday celebration. The team also donated to the Ben's Chili Bowl Foundation, which supports community projects across the District.
Wizards fans can take home their own Virginia Ali bobblehead when the team hands them out at their game against Detroit on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 15.
Ali's bobblehead isn't the only uniquely DMV bobblehead on the horizon for the Wizards' "For the District" campaign. On Feb. 10, you can grab a Frances Tiafoe bobblehead! The tennis star from Prince George's County is wearing a Wizards jersey for his bobblehead.
On March 17, Pusha T of Clipse will represent Virginia in bobblehead form. It features the hip-hop legend sporting a Wizards City Edition hoodie. The Virginia Beach native who has five Grammy nominations under his belt is the last of the DMV bobblehead series this season.
