Metro announces closures along the Red Line and delays along the Green and Yellow Lines this weekend

On the Red Lines, free shuttle buses will replace trains between Dupont Circle and Van Ness stations.

WASHINGTON — Metro riders can expect delays on multiple lines this weekend. 

On Saturday, February 3 and Sunday, February 4 Metro will perform maintenance and track work impacting the Red, Green, and Yellow lines. 

On the Red Line, free shuttle buses will replace trains between Dupont Circle and Van Ness stations. Crews will be installing radio and fiber-optic cables. 

Cleveland Park and Woodley Park stations will be closed. There will be free shuttle buses available. 

Local shuttle buses will make stops at the National Zoo in both directions from 8 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. 

Trains will single track on the Green and Yellow Lines between Mount Vernon and L’Enfant Plaza. Crews will replace edge lighting along the platform, and improve the radio system, in addition to other maintenance work. 

Riders traveling on the Green Line should consider transferring to/from the Red Line via Fort Totten Station.
