List: Road closures for Janney 5K this weekend

These road closures are in place Saturday morning for the 12th running of the race in support of Janney Elementary School

WASHINGTON — Runners will celebrate Janney Elementary School on Saturday, Nov. 19, with the 12th annual running of the Janney 5K and Fun Run.

The race will result in some roads being closed while the race is underway. Here's what you need to know. 

The following streets will be posted as Emergency No Parking on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.:

 

  • Albemarle Street from Wisconsin Avenue to 42nd Street, NW
  • 42nd Street from Albemarle Street to Van Ness Street, NW
  • Van Ness Street from 42nd Street to 46th Street, NW
  • 46th Street from Van Ness Street to Albemarle Street, NW
  • Albemarle Street from 46th Street to 49th Street, NW
  • Yuma Street from Wisconsin Avenue to 42nd Street, NW

The following street will be closed to vehicle traffic on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.:

 

  • Albemarle Street from Wisconsin Avenue to 42nd Street, NW

 

The following streets will be closed to vehicle traffic on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from approximately 8:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.:

  • Albemarle Street from Wisconsin Avenue to 42nd Street, NW
  • 42nd Street from Albemarle Street to Van Ness Street, NW
  • Van Ness Street from 42nd Street to 46th Street, NW
  • 46th Street from Van Ness Street to Albemarle Street, NW
  • Albemarle Street from 46th Street to 49th Street, NW
  • Yuma Street from Wisconsin Avenue to 42nd Street, NW

All street closures and listed times are subject to change based upon prevailing or unexpected conditions.

The public should expect parking restrictions along the street and should be guided by the posted emergency no parking signage. All vehicles that are parked in violation of the emergency no parking signs will be ticketed and towed.
