'My moms getting stressed out': Mom shares 8-year-old's hilarious journal entry about home school fail

After attempting to 'home school' her kids during the coronavirus pandemic, this mom found a hilarious entry in her son's journal.

VERONA, Kentucky — Candice Hunter Kennedy learned the hard way that home schooling her kids during the coronavirus pandemic is not as easy as she thought it would be.

When their school canceled classes, Candice decided to continue the educations of her 8, 10 and 12 year old children from their home. But she quickly found she was in over her head with their math assignments.

"I incorrectly assumed my kids knew what they were supposed to do," she said.

All at once, they started asking her questions about their course material.

"My head was spinning," Candice said.

The situation escalated quickly and Candice saw a meltdown coming.

"Tears were coming," she said.

So Candice decided to send the kids away for a moment to try to figure out their assignments herself.

Besides math, one of the assignments for her 8-year-old Ben is to write a daily journal entry. Later, Candice saw that he had written about the fiasco of their first day of home schooling. She found his commentary on the stressful situation hilarious.

Ben wrote:

"It is not going good. My moms getting stressed out. My mom is really getting confused. We took a break so my mom can figure this stuff out. and I'm telling you it is not going good."

"Y'all, I'm dying!!" she wrote on Facebook.
