John Orozco is an American gymnast who will be competing in the Olympic Games for the second time in Rio. Orozco grew up with very little money but was able to begin gymnastics training at the age of 7 due to the unrelenting support of his parents. Getting to the summer games this year has been about healing both physically and emotionally for Orozco. His mother died in February 2015 and he tore his Achilles tendon for the second time last June. But Orozco made a remarkable recovery and began training and competing again only six months after his injury.
