Metro extends train service for Caps playoff game

Games three and four of the Capitals playoff series are scheduled to take place on Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m. and game four is on Sunday, April 28 at 8 p.m.

WASHINGTON — Fans skating to see the Washington Capitals take on the New York Rangers at the Capital One Arena during the playoffs will have the option to metro there and back home.

Games three and four of the Capitals playoff series are scheduled to take place on Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m. and game four is on Sunday, April 28 at 8 p.m.

WMATA has teamed up with Capital One to extend the train schedule. Regularly scheduled “last trains” are now slated to leave Gallery Place and Metro Center stations at approximately 1 a.m. on Friday and midnight on Sunday night.

If regularly scheduled metro service has concluded before the game ends on Sunday, additional trains will run on all lines from Gallery Place and Metro Center immediately following the game to accommodate fans.

All other metro stations will be exit-only during the special postgame service. For more information, head over to wmata.com.
