Jabari Laws threw four touchdown passes and John Oliver ran for two more as Henry A. Wise repeated as Maryland Class 4A state champions with a 42-7 victory over Quince Orchard Friday night at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium.

Wise (14-0) has won 28 consecutive games plus three state titles in five years.

Last year, Wise beat Howard 55-6 in the title game, setting a record for points in a Class 4A title game.

Laws completed 15 of 18 passes for 276 yards. He threw two touchdowns to Demetri Morsell (6 and 47 yards) and one each to Khyree Jackson (9 yards) and Anthony Lytton (72 yards) as the Pumas scored 28 second-half points.

Oliver (93 yards rushing) ran for touchdowns in the first and second quarters. His 4-yard scoring run put the Pumas on top for good early and the 30-yard touchdown gave them a 14-0 halftime lead.

Quince Orchard quarterback Doc Bonner threw a touchdown pass but was taken off on a stretcher after an injury late in the third quarter. No details were given on his condition.

Marvin Beander led Quince Orchard with a game-high 101 yards rushing but the team's three first-half turnovers (all fumbles) proved costly.
