WASHINGTON — Washington D.C. will soon have at least three more Wawa locations in the first half of this year.
The Philadelphia-based convenience store and gas station chain will be opening stores in Columbia Heights, Adams Morgan, and Tenleytown.
Wawa is not only known for being a relatively cheap gas station, but also for its food. It's often compared to Royal Farms or Sheetz.
Previously, Wawa representatives have said they planned to open between five and 10 locations in the D.C. area.

There are already two Wawa locations – without gas – in the District. One is in Georgetown on Wisconsin and the other downtown on 19th Street.
Other reports online suggest there will be a new location in Metrocenter, but WUSA9 has not been able to confirm. A Wawa representative would only confirm the three above locations.
There are also several locations in the surrounding areas.
