UPPER MARLBORO, Md. — Police are searching for a man who was mistakenly released from jail just two hours after he was booked inside. Prince George's County Department of Corrections (PGDOC) authorities are looking into exactly what happened.
Saul Perez-Medrano was arrested for on burglary and theft charges by Riverdale Police on Friday evening. He was taken to jail around 7:30 p.m. Investigators say he was erroneously released around 9:45 p.m.
PGDOC's Office of Professional Responsibility and Legal Affairs is investigating. Meanwhile, Prince George's County Police are searching for Perez-Medrano. Police did not offer a photo or description of him.
