Police investigate shooting in Arlington, Virginia

Officials say the shooting happened just before 9 p.m. on Tuesday in the Nauck neighborhood.

ARLINGTON, Va. — One person was hospitalized following a shooting in Arlington on Tuesday, police said. 

Officers from the Arlington County Police Department said they responded to the 2300 block of South Nelson Street for the report of shooting. 

Officers arrived on scene to find three men who were involved in a fight. Police said they were able to separate the men and transported the shooting victim to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Police are still investigating what led to the fight. 

Authorities identified the men and stated there is no threat to the community. 

Officials said no charges have been sought at this time.
