Draymond Green on kick to Kyrie Irving: 'Bodies react a certain type of way'

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green — whose groin kick to Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams in the Western Conference finals led to league-wide speculation — was involved in another leg-flailing incident in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night.

As Green fell backwards to the floor in the first quarter, his right leg kicked up in the air and hit Cleveland Cavaliers' Kyrie Irving in the chest.

Irving was called for a foul, but the incident, which easily could have escalated, was over before it began.

After the Warriors win, Green denied having any sort of ill-intent on the play.

"If I was aware of something, I wouldn't do it," he said. "But basketball is basketball, and bodies react a certain type of way. I don't really mind any scrutiny. It doesn't bother me. I'm going to still live my life and do everything I do the same way and not lose any sleep. So life goes on."

Green, who is one flagrant foul away from an automatic one-game suspension, finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists and four steals.
