PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — A teenager accused of shooting at homes in Prince William County is now facing even more charges after police say he stole a car and a gun just two days before the shooting.
According to the Prince William County Police Department, the 15-year-old boy was arrested in connection to gunshots being fired at houses in Woodbridge. No injuries were reported in the shootings along Kentmore Dr. and Kentland Dr. on November 27.
Now, investigators say they have learned the teen is connected to even more crimes. Two days before the shooting, police say the teen took a gun from a parked car on Northgate Drive. The next day he reportedly also stole a car from Potomac Mills.
The stolen car and gun were both later recovered in the Woodbridge area. The 15-year-old boy has now been charged with grand larceny of a firearm, grand larceny of a vehicle, and vehicle tampering on top of the two counts of principal in the second degree of shooting into a residential and once count of underage possession of a firearm he was already facing.
Additionally, police have arrested two more teens for the Kentmore Dr. and Kentland Dr. shootings, including a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old girl. Those two teens have been charged with principal in the second degree of shooting into a residential dwelling.
