19-year-old man shot, killed in parking lot of Loudoun Co. apartments

Police say there is no threat to the public at this time.

ASHBURN, Va. — The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound in the parking lot of an apartment complex Wednesday night. 

Officers responded to the Ashburn Meadow apartment complex after receiving reports of gunshots. One man suffering from a gunshot wound was found and pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified Thursday by police as a 19-year-old man namned Michai Dandridge-Carter, from Sterling, Virginia. 

Police say the shooting occurred in the parking lot of the Ashburn Meadows apartment complex in the 44400 block of Keller Square in Ashburn. 

The investigation into the deadly shooting is active and ongoing.
