Man crushed, killed after car he was working on fell on top of him in Woodbridge

Initially, detectives say there are no signs of foul play.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A 19-year-old man is dead after police say his car fell on top of him while he was working on it, pinning him underneath it on Monday.

At 2:52 p.m. Monday afternoon, officers responded to the 13400 block of Greenacre Drive in Woodbridge to investigate a death. An investigation revealed that a man was working underneath his car when it fell on top of him. Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and confirmed the 19-year-old man's death.

Initially, detectives say there are no signs of foul play. 

The cause of death has not been confirmed and will be pending an autopsy by the Medical Examiner’s Office.

The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
