Police search for man who escaped custody on Christmas Day

In photos, Greer appears to have a face tattoo. We reached out to law enforcement to ask if the photos were recent, but they did not respond.

FAUQUIER COUNTY, Va. — The Fauquier Sheriff’s Department is searching for a man who escaped custody.

Dustin David Greer, 31, was last seen on Christmas Day. The sheriff’s department says he made his escape while at the Boxwood Treatment Center in Culpepper, Virginia.

In photos released by police, Greer appears to have a face tattoo. We reached out to the sheriff's department to ask if the photos were recent, but they did not respond. Greer also has a large neck tattoo.

There is no word on what landed Greer in police custody, but if you have any information contact the Fauquier Sheriff’s County at 540-422-8600. You can remain anonymous as well.
