ROCKVILLE, Md. -- Human skeletal remains were found in a wooded area in Rockville, Maryland and now police working to identify the dead person.
On Tuesday, around 5:15 p.m., police went to a wooded area near Shady Grove Raod and Procera Drive after a person found the remains while walking their dog.
The remains were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner Office (OCME) in Baltimore where an autopsy will be conducted in an attempt to determine the sex of the person and other identifiers and the manner and cause of death for the decedent.
Police also found the following items near the remains:
-A blue sweatshirt with the words QUEBECOR PRINTING (USA) CORP. written on the front
- A black or green colored San Antonio Spurs ball cap.
- Blue and white size 11 Asics GEL-Kayano sneakers
This investigation is ongoing.
