Police identify homicide victim in Northeast DC shooting

Officials said the shooting happened around 9 p.m. Monday in the 3400 block of Benning Road

WASHINGTON — Police identified the man killed in a shooting in Northeast Washington D.C. earlier this week.

Around 9 p.m. Monday, D.C. police say they responded to the 3400 block of Benning Road for the report of an assault. Officers arrived to find an unconscious and unresponsive adult male. 

DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services also responded and took the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

Wednesday, police identified the victim as 62-year-old Curtis Leon Harrison.

Police are offering $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
