81-year-old woman missing from Fairfax County has been found

Kathryn Watkins was found Monday.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — A woman who went missing over the weekend in Fairfax County has been found, according to police. 

Virginia State Police issued a Silver Alert Monday for an 81-year-old Kathryn Watkins. She was found around noon on Monday. 

According to police, Watkins was last seen in the evening hours of Saturday, April 13 in the 8000 block of Kerry Lane in Springfield. Watkins is described as about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 170 pounds with brown eyes and grey-brown hair. She was possibly wearing jeans and carrying a Michael Kors purse.

Police say Watkins suffers from a cognitive impairment and her disappearance causes a threat to her health and safety. 

Police also say Watkins might be driving a 2012 Silver Toyota Camry with Virginia plates TTC-5142.
