1 woman dead, 4 others injured in Prince George's Co. crash

The cause of the collision is unknown at this time.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. — One person is dead and four others are injured after a crash on Sunday in Prince George's County.

At 6 p.m., officers responded to the area of Mallard Drive and Laurel Bowie Road for a crash involving two cars. 

Police say a passenger of one of the cars, only identified as a woman so far, was taken to an area hospital where she died following the collision. Four other people involved in the crash were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Investigators are on scene trying to determine what caused the collision.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area while police investigate.
